Actual clinical practice of infection prevention and management in neutropenic patients at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) was Investigated by retrospective study involving the medical records of 137 adult neutropenic patients with 149 neutropenia episodes. For antibiotic use, a large proportion was combined regimens, making up 60.7% of prevention regimens and 78.5% of management regimens. The adherence to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network's Guideline for Prevention and Treatment of Cancer-related Infections (2015) rated relatively low, with 11.5% of prevention regimens and 19.0% of initial management regimens. These findings suggested further studies to establish a clinical practice guideline for the use of antibiotics in cancerous neutropenic patients at NIHBT.vi_VN
