Abstract: This study was conducted to assess if the compartments and nutrients allocations of snakehead are dependent on dietary carbohydrate and fat supplementation. The purposes were achieved by creating a feeding trial in 42 days on snakehead (29.1g). Four diets were formulated, which had a wide range of protein, fat, and carbohydrates. At the end of the experiment, data of compartments weight (fillet, viscera, liver, and the remaining) and nutrients (dry matter, protein, fat, ash, and energy) in each compartment were analyzed and then transferred to percentage to show its allocations in total snakehead body. The compartments of snakehead were not affected by the experimental diets and the percentage of fillet accounted from 34.7% to 36.6%. A similar tendency to compartments was observed in the case of protein, ash, and energy distribution of snakehead, in which the remaining accounted for the most proportion. Dietary protein has a negative relationship with protein in viscera. Interestingly, fat was the only nutrient that was significantly affected by the interaction between diets and compartments and the result has outlined that the increase of fat upplementation in the diet leads to more accumulative fat in the fillet instead of the other compartments.
