Abstract: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of mixed herbal supplements (Terminalia catappa and Sonneratia caseolaris) on the growth performance and health of whiteleg shrimp (Penaeus vannamei). Shrimp was fed with feed containing various concentrations of 0%, 1%, and 2% mixed herbal supplement in four weeks. At the end of the feeding trial, the mean body weight (MBW), weight gain (WG), survival rate (SR), specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion rate (FCR), total haemocytes count (THC), granular cell (GC), hyaline cell (HC), phenoloxidase activity (PO), villus height (VH), villus width (VW), submucous (SM) and Vibrio density in the gut of whiteleg shrimp were analyzed to evaluate the growth performance and health of whiteleg shrimp. The results demonstrated that the supplemented diet of 1% mixed herbal extract significantly increased survival rate (88.8±0.98%), haematological parameters (THC- 20.9±4.06×106 cells mL-1 , GC- 3.2±0.4×106 cells mL-1 , HC-17.7±3.75×106 cells mL-1 ) and PO (0.174±0.017) in comparison with shrimps in control treatment (0%) and 2% mixed herbal supplement (p<0.05). Besides, FCR (0.99±0.08), VW (31±5.91 µm), Vibrio density (9.68±4.63×104 CFU g-1 ) in gut of shrimps in treatment with 1% mixed herbal supplements were also improved and FBW (8.25±0.63 g), WG (4.98±0.71 g/ind), SGR (3.31±0.37%/day), VH (25±2.85 µm), SM (9.7±1.26 µm) of shrimps in diet with 2% mixed herbal supplement were enhanced although there were no significant difference compared to control treatment (p>0.05).
