Authors: Ho, Thi Hong Van; Le, Ngoc Hoan; Dinh, Quang Bao
Abstract: Career orientation for high school students in teaching subjects has been identified as an important goal in general education so far and is especially reflected in the General Education Program 2018. This study has proposed the process of designing learning activities and types of learning activities in teaching Biology grade 10 to promote students’ career orientation. Since then, we suggested to teachers when using learning activities according to 5E model and experiential teaching to improve the effectiveness of career-oriented teaching for students. The study has designed a learning topic illustrating the steps in the process of designing teaching activities to orient careers for students in teaching Biology grade 10 according to the Biology curriculum 2018.

Authors: Do, Thi Quynh Mai; Tran, Thi Lan Anh
Abstract: Collaborative problem-solving competency is one of the essential competencies, it is the combined competency of individual and social factors, demonstrating the ability to solve problems through team cooperation. With the organization of learning for students to perform group tasks in the corners, teaching methods of working in corners to have many conditions to develop collaborative problem-solving capabilities for students. However, in practice, when applying this teaching method, teachers only focus on designing tasks that fulfill the goal of knowledge and skills without paying attention to developing problemsolving capabilities through collaborative learning. In addition, teachers also face many difficulties in designing tools to assess students' competency. The paper presents principles and processes for designing learning tasks for collaborative learning activities in cornerbased teaching methods to develop collaborative problem-solving competency and building its assessment tools for students in high schools.

Abstract: IGCSE is the short term of International General Certificate of Secondary Education. This is one of the most popular Certificates for secondary school seniors before they come to the next levels such as A-level or pre-university. This article introduces about IGCSE chemistry program of the United Kingdom, one of the best educations in the world, and focuses on analyzing the differences between chemistry exercises in Vietnamese grade 9 students’ exams and the ones of the IGCSE program. From the comparison, the research also gives some comments about the chemistry exercises in IGCSE exams like strong points or limitations when we apply it in Vietnam. The object of this research is the comparison between the IGCSE program and the Vietnamese program in terms of chemistry exams, apply to Vietnamese grade 9 students, except the ones who take the national\international exams for outstanding students. The experiences of building up diverse and practical chemistry exercises, focusing on the chemical nature of Cambridge are valuable lessons for Chemistry teachers in Vietnam.

Authors: Chu, Cam Tho; Nguyen, Tien Dat; Vu, Anh Tuan
Abstract: Mathematical competency can be referred to one of the most essential competencies in the context of the exponential development of the knowledge-based economy and globalization, especially when people make financial decisions based on their mathematical literacy. Numeracy is considered one of the critical skills of the people. To develop and evaluate numeracy, the national curricula of many countries across the world, such as Australia, Germany, Singapore, or Programme for International Student Assessment - PISA have selected Consumer and financial context as teaching and assessing content. In Vietnam, in the general education curriculum mandated by the Ministry of Education and Training in December 2018, numeracy, which originated and developed substantially in Mathematics, is one of the seven general capabilities. In this paper, we present a literature review of numeracy and several pedagogical recommendations to develop junior high school students' numeracy through the context of consumer and financial literacy.
