dc.description.abstract | It is the generation of giant models such as ChatGPT that now drives the enthusiasm of language experts, especially those who are taking up learning a second language. This technology can redesign the learning process altogether by providing personalized feedback, more practical and enjoyable tasks that facilitate skill mastery, and more deep-rooted learning. While such development also depends on the teachers, we cannot underestimate their importance. Investigating the view of English Teacher Education students on the appliance of AI in language learning may be of paramount importance since scant research on the subject exists in Vietnam. So the adoption of this technology may remain a challenge unless we understand their receptiveness and plans. One of the latest studies explores the opinions of the English majors who used the ChatGPT in language studies and similar lessons for multiple writing assignments. The investigation used a paper survey as a data collection tool, leading to the gathering of quantitative data. Then it brought up the promising insights found as a result. This study sheds light on the fact that the emerging generation of Vietnamese pre-service teachers has a positive stance on implementing ChatGPT in writing instruction. The students, as well, see that the tool can help them to make the most of their creative potential, develop their vocabulary, and, finally, work with the individualized feedback that meets their requirements in particular. Moreover, the study highlights the significance of the training of educators with the necessary skills and competence. This includes raising awareness about mistakes that ChatGPT may have regarding facts and fair influence or being biased. In addition to this, the proper and ethical use of the technology is also crucial. It is imperative that there are well-thought-out rules and strategies that target promoting efficiency and addressing possible negative implications. By studying the views of the English majors and providing a complete training system, we may set up the conditions to absorb ChatGPT and more AI tools into the language teaching approach. Particularly because of this, learning becomes useful, individual, and efficient for students, while language improvement and technology continue to shape the future. | vi_VN |
