Abstract: | This qualitative study aims to find out the impacts of presentation on students’ learning engagement in EFL classrooms. The findings of the study are intended to contribute to the perceptions of students on their learning activities through presentation. The study employed a semi-structured interview activity as the only instrument for collecting data with the voluntary participation of twelve students. The interviews were used to explore in depth impacts of presentationon students’ engagement for the three main factors, including Individual-based emotional engagement, Individual-based cognitive engagement and Individual-based behavioral engagement. The findings overall showed that the presentation had certain impacts on promoting students’engagement in learning in all researched focuses. Accordingly, the study provides recommendations for maximizing the effect of presentation activities in EFL classrooms contributing great value to students’ engagement in learning. |
