This study investigates the awareness of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among English Teacher Education (ETE) students and their perceptions regarding the integration of these goals into the ETE curriculum. The research is conducted as a case study at a public university in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. A quantitative method approach was utilized, and a questionnaire served as the primary tool for data collection. A sample size of 130 undergraduate students in the discipline of ETE were selected using the convenience sampling technique. The results revealed that the students’ general understanding of the sustainable development concept was at average level. Besides, a majority of the respondents showed their recognition of seventeen specific SDGs and expressed their support for integrating SDGs into the ETE curriculum, with three themes notably receiving the highest advocacy, comprising “human rights and equality”, “gender equality”, and “equal education and lifelong learning possibilities for everyone”. In view of the findings of the study, suggestions for increasing awareness and knowledge of SDGs among students were made.vi_VN
