This thesis examines the influence of learning English as a first foreign language on the acquisition of French as a second foreign language among Vietnamese English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students. Qualitative data were collected from the participation of ten students at a university in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. Through semi-structured interviews, the study explores students’ perceptions, focusing on the interplay between English proficiency and French language acquisition. Findings provide insights into effective language learning strategies and inform curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and educational policies for optimizing the multilingual experiences of Vietnamese EFL students.vi_VN
