Tóm tắt: "Although women play an important role in society, they are still restricted in many fields due to the remnants of patriarchy. Feminism has been born to eliminate injustice against women and promote equality between the sexes. Using literature to convey feminism and increase students' sympathy for women is necessary, especially for English-majored students. This study is aimed at investigating English-majored students' perspectives on women's nature in selected works through the lens of feminism. A mixed-methods approach is used to collect data from 149 students majoring in English studies at the School of Foreign Languages at Can Tho University. This current study uses three materials, including The Lady or the Tiger? (1882) by Frank R. Stockton, A Rose for Emily (1930) by William Faulkner, and Wuthering Heights (1847) by Emily Brontë. The results show that English-majored students reflect their positive attitudes toward the nature of women and female characters in the literary works included in the literary courses. Moreover, most of the students are considered feminists because of their supportive perspectives on women's nature and feminism. There is no significant difference between the thinking of male and female students, which means that both genders could be feminists and have progressive viewpoints on women's nature. According to the research findings, implications for students and teachers and recommendations for further studies are also presented in this research. Keywords: English-majored students, perspectives, feminism, women’s nature, female characters"
