Abstract: This study is conducted to investigate the effect of users' awareness of privacy and recommendation systems on their intention to share their information and behavior with the system. Group discussion and qualitative content methods are used to analyze the awareness and behaviors of participants who use Spotify. The result reveals users are willing to share their information with these applications despite knowing the value of their personal data and the privacy risks while using apps. This is because they give more weight to the advantages of the application than the privacy risk. Additionally, even though each of our participants has a different way of explaining the recommendation systems, they all have a favorable attitude toward it and use it as a tool to help them enjoy the application rather than solely depending on it.
