Tóm tắt: | "This study explores the perceptions of English-majored students on generative artificial intelligence used as a learning tool. More specifically, the following paper assesses the benefits and pitfalls of using generative AI for learning English. The study participants included 92 students majoring in English language studies for the research with a questionnaire, and five students’ responses to open-ended questions were obtained in the observational study. The questionnaire consisted of four sections, and the open-ended questions survey with seven questions requiring students’ response was included in the materials. By concentrating on the collected data, the current study paper analysis focuses on the benefits and drawbacks of incorporating generative AI in English language learning. These research findings indicate that while the participants recognize that using generative AI can enable language learning benefits, students also experience concerns about generative AI-drawn language schools. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the nuanced perspectives among English-majored students regarding the integration of generative AI in education and highlight areas for future research and pedagogical considerations.
