Abstract: "Translanguaging, an approach to language, bilingualism, and bilingual education, is crucial for promoting student learning in the twenty-first century because it considers all linguistic resources accessible to learners without partitioning their use. This study explored the perceptions and practices of translanguaging among undergraduate students majoring in English at School of Foreign Languages at a Vietnamese university. The research aimed to investigate the perceptions of Englishmajored students regarding the use of translanguaging in learning the English language, examine the frequency and patterns of translanguaging usage in an English classroom setting, and compare the perceptions of translanguaging practices among students in different cohorts to identify potential differences. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining surveys, observations, and semi-structured interviews to gather data from 207 participants. The research findings indicated that the attitudes of undergraduates towards translanguaging were predominantly positive. Furthermore, variations in the implementation of translanguaging in English learning could be observed among students belonging to distinct cohorts. Key words: Translanguaging, L2 learnings, English as a Foreign Language, perceptions, EFL classroom"
