dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this work presents the behavior of semi-rigid connections in composite structures. A Genetic Algorithm based optimum design method is presented for composite frames with semi-rigid connections. The design algorithm obtains a frame with the least weight (beam, column and number of shear connectors per beam) by selecting appropriate sections from a standard set of AISC.vi_VN
