Abstract: The purpose of the study is to develop a 2D game from scratch with the help of Unity Engine. The study start with ideas planning including story scenarios, gameplay mechanics and general game genres that the game will be developed surrounding them. The next step is focusing on developing core systems and supportive functions of the game base on the features of those game genres. Moreover, enhance user experiences with friendly game UI including 2D images, animation, special effects and an appealing storyline. Game expansion feature need to be highly considered as an essential aspect of game developing process. The game is developed surrounding 2 aspects of game’s genre which are turn-based combat system and roguelike randomize future. Enemy units are scripted using AI – Behaviour Tree to carry out action during combat. The game is equipped with some basics functions and systems to enrich gameplay experience including level up, reward, save and load system,... A complete game need to satisfy specific conditions which are a functional games with different game functions, cover the features related to the game genres which have been mentioned in planning process and logical system need to work as expected.
