Abstract: The steel-concrete composite column consists of structural steel and concrete with or without longitudinal reinforcing bars. Structural steel could be formed steel in sections I, H, box, hollow, angle, channel, and so on. Composite columns may be open sections partially, or fully encased in concrete, or concrete-filled hollow steel sections. Fully encased in concrete protects from fire, while concrete-filled hollow steel sections provide confinement to enhance the strength of the concrete. For the short columns, the compression resistance of the steel-concrete composite column should be calculated by adding the compression resistances of its components. For long columns, the length of the column affects the compression resistance of the steel-concrete composite column. This study investigated experiments on four concrete-filled hollow columns (CFT) without longitudinal reinforcing bars. These columns had different lengths to evaluate the effect of the column's relative slenderness on the composite columns' behavior. The parameters observed include the load resistance, longitudinal deformation of the concrete and steel tubes, and the lateral strain of the steel tubes.
