Abstract: | Aerodrome infrastructure is fundamental to ensuring the safety and efficiency of flight operations. The construction quality and operational outcomes is heavily influenced by the design. construction, and acceptance processes, which depend on a range of standards and guidelines from both domestic and international sources. This study provides a comprehensive evaluation of Vietnam's current aerodrome standards and guidelines, comparing them with global practices to identify their strengths, limitations, and areas for improvement. Through a detailed review and comparative analysis of relevant documents, the research highlights significant gaps in the comprehensiveness and coherence of Vietnam's regulatory framework. Findings emphasize the necessity of revising and enhancing existing documentation, transitioning foundational standards to Vietnamese standards, and developing new standards to align with international best practices. The paper underscores the urgency of addressing these deficiencies to ensure compatibility with global systems, foster innovation, and maintain high safety and operational standards. |
