Abstract: This study investigates the effects of dynamic loads on culvert displacement along Tran Van Hoai Street, Can Tho city, using FLAC 7.0. Simulations under typical Mekong Delta soil conditions (alluvial, muddy, and clayey) reveal that dynamic loading induces displacements up to 2.5 times higher than static loads. Displacement magnitude strongly correlates with load amplitude, while frequency (1–5 Hz) has minimal effect. The HL93 vehicle generates greater deformation than the Hamm 3412 roller, emphasizing the role of heavy, oscillating loads. Findings underscore the necessity for dynamic load assessment in soft soil urban areas and recommend soil reinforcement and optimized culvert design for infrastructure resilience and sustainability.
