The asymmetric effects of global economic policy uncertainty on Vietnam’s trade balance: Evidence from 2015 to 2024

Abstract

Analyze the relationship between Global economic policy uncertainty (GEPU) and Vietnam’s trade balance during the period 2015 – 2024, with a particular focus on examining the asymmetric effects of GEPU using the Nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) model. Based on the findings, the study seeks to propose relevant policy implications to enhance the economy’s capacity to respond to global policy shocks.
