BUILDING A HOMESTAY RESERVATION MANAGEMENT WEBSITE WITH CHATBOT INTEGRATION

Abstract

In the context of digital transformation and the growing reliance on online services, the demand for convenient and reliable solutions in the tourism and accommodation industry has become increasingly essential. Travelers are no longer satisfied with traditional booking methods; instead, they expect fast, transparent, and user-friendly online platforms to search, reserve, and review homestays. At the same time, property owners and administrators require efficient systems to manage listings, bookings, and customer interactions. This Thesis, “Building a Homestay Reservation Website with Chatbot Integration”, aims to address these challenges by designing and implementing a website that supports three major roles: customers, hosts, and administrators. The system is developed using ReactJS for the frontend, Node.js with Express for the backend, and MySQL as the database. It provides a wide range of features such as account management, homestay search with filtering, booking and payment integration, review submission, and administrative approval and reporting. To enhance usability, the platform can also be extended with chatbot support for 24/7 interaction. Evaluation results show that the system offers an intuitive interface, stable performance, and effective functionality for all user groups. Overall, the project demonstrates both practical value for customers and hosts, and academic significance as a modern web application model for tourism service.
