BUILDING A STUDENT PORTAL WEBSITE USING SUPABASE AND REACTJS

Abstract

This thesis presents the development of a web-based Student Portal System designed to digitize academic and administrative processes in universities. The system allows users to manage essential tasks such as viewing personal profiles, checking academic results, registering courses online, evaluating conduct with attached evidence, paying tuition through VNPay, providing chatbot, and submitting administrative requests. It supports three user roles—students, lecturers, and department staff—each with access to specific features according to their responsibilities. The frontend is developed with React.js using TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Shadcn/ui, while the backend operates on Supabase with PostgreSQL, realtime APIs, and Row Level Security for authentication. Thanks to its responsive interface, clear permission control, real-time data synchronization, cloud-based file storage, and multi-channel notifications, the system demonstrates practical applicability and can be deployed in real university environments.
