DEVELOPMENT OF A COFFEE SHOP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH AI CHATBOT SUPPORT

Abstract

“Development of a coffee shop management system with AI Chatbot support” provides an effective digital solution to optimize operational workflows, enhance management efficiency, and improve customer experience. The system is built as a web-based application that supports four user groups: guest users, registered customers, employees, and administrators (shop owners). Guest users can browse shop information, view the menu, explore promotional programs, and register for an account. Registered customers gain access to additional advanced features, including shopping cart management, online ordering, table booking, order history tracking, product rating, voucher redemption, and real-time order status updates. Employees can manage customer orders, update order statuses, process table reservations, and handle system notifications to support daily store operations. Administrators are granted full control over system resources, including product and category management, order and reservation administration, employee and customer information, promotion and voucher management, homepage configuration, and viewing revenue reports by day, week, and month. The system is implemented using ReactJS for the frontend, Node.js/Express with Sequelize ORM for the backend, MySQL for data storage, and Cloudinary for image hosting. In addition, the platform integrates VNPay for secure online payments and an AI-powered chatbot to support customers with information lookup, drink recommendations, and guided ordering or table booking processes. This solution delivers a modern, intuitive, and automated management system that minimizes manual workload, enhances service quality, and improves business performance for coffee shop operations.
