DEVELOPING A FOOTBALL NEWS WEBSITE

Abstract

In the context of rapid digital transformation, online news platforms play an increasingly important role in delivering timely and structured information to users. Football news, in particular, requires not only text articles but also up-to-date match schedules, results, standings, and structured information on leagues, clubs, and players. However, many existing football news websites still rely on static content presentation, limited content management workflows, and insufficient role-based administration, which reduces scalability and maintainability. This thesis presents the design and implementation of a web-based football news platform, Football News, developed using modern web technologies, including Node.js, Express, Vue 3, and PostgreSQL. The system employs a client–server architecture and adheres to RESTful API principles to support modular development and future extensibility. Key functionalities include user authentication, role-based access control, news article management, comment interaction, football data management (leagues, seasons, clubs, players, and matches), and automatic league standings calculation based on match results. The results demonstrate that the proposed system effectively integrates content management with the processing of structured football data, providing a scalable and maintainable solution for delivering football news. This platform can serve as a practical foundation for future development and real-world deployment in modern sports information systems.
