In the era of digital transformation, automatic image classification of cultural heritage plays a crucial role in cultural preservation and promotion. However, tra- ditional deep learning networks with static architectures often suffer from param- eter explosion when increasing depth, waste computational resources on easy-to- recognize samples, and are highly susceptible to noise amplification caused by the physical degradation of heritage artifacts. To overcome these limitations, this thesis proposes Adaptive R-PurifyNet, a novel architecture for efficient represen- tation learning. The proposed method utilizes a Dual-Branch Fractal Unit with weight-sharing to reduce the parameter footprint, combined with an Adaptive Soft- Thresholding mechanism for active noise filtering. Crucially, the architecture inte- grates a Bilinear Q-Head network guided by Value-based Monte Carlo Tree Search to enable Adaptive Computation Time, allowing the model to dynamically halt the inference process early based on the sample’s difficulty. Experimental results on the collected VN-CH dataset and standard benchmarks (CIFAR-10/100) demon- strate that Adaptive R-PurifyNet achieves superior performance. Specifically, the ResNet-50 + RPB-Q configuration achieves an accuracy of 94.65% on VN-CH while reducing the parameter count by 25% to 47% compared to traditional MLP heads. Notably, the architecture significantly boosts the accuracy of lightweight models (e.g., an increase of nearly 24% for MobileNetV3-Small) and effectively mitigates the degradation problem in very deep networks. Furthermore, a web- based application is deployed to practically demonstrate the classification process and visualize the adaptive halting mechanism.vi_VN
