The research titled “Development of a Safety Monitoring System for Detecting and Warning Collision Risks Between Humans and Forklifts in Industrial Warehouses” is developed based on a deep learning framework using the YOLOv8 model for object detection and the ByteTrack algorithm to maintain stable motion trajectories for each individual and vehicle. A key aspect of the proposed solution lies in the application of perspective transformation techniques to convert image coordinates into a 2D plane, enabling accurate computation of real-world physical distances between objects. The system is designed with multilevel alert mechanisms using both audio and visual warnings. Experimental results conducted under four scenarios—normal lighting, low lighting, high illumination, and noise interference from cameras or environmental conditions—demonstrate that the system achieves a detection performance of mAP50 = 0.7681, mAP50-95 = 0.515, F1-score = 0.7552, Recall = 0.674, and Precision = 0.8588 under stable lighting conditions. The evaluation of distance normalization indicates MSE = 223.71923, MAE = 10.16154 , R2 = 0.99595 và RMSE = 14.95725. Although challenges remain under severe noise conditions, the study demonstrates the feasibility of an active safety solution, contributing to risk reduction in industrial environments and promoting digital transformation in occupational safety management.
