DEVELOPMENT OF A MOBILE APPLICATION FOR PERSONALIZED TRAVEL DESTINATION RECOMMENDATION

Abstract

In recent years, independent travel has become increasingly popular, especially the need to search for attractions, restaurants, entertainment venues, and personalized travel plans. However, users often face difficulties when collecting information from multiple sources, comparing places, evaluating suitability, and arranging itineraries based on time, budget, and location. In addition, managing travel place data requires a system that can collect, update, and classify information efficiently. The objective of this project is to design and develop a mobile travel support application that allows users to search for places, view detailed information, write reviews, save favorite places, check in at visited places, view maps, and create personalized travel itineraries. The system also provides an admin dashboard for managing places, categories, services, users, reviews, and supporting data crawling from websites. The system is developed using React Native and Expo for the mobile application, React/Vite for the admin dashboard, FastAPI for the backend, and MySQL for data storage. The place recommendation function combines user profile information, preferences, current location, interaction behavior, and review data. The trip planning function uses place data, budget, number of days, number of travelers, and daily time slots to generate suitable itineraries. In addition, AI is integrated to support naturallanguage itinerary descriptions and assist the data enrichment process in the crawling pipeline. The result of this project is a completed travel support system consisting of a mobile application for users and an admin dashboard for administrators. The mobile application provides key features such as login, registration, place search, personalized recommendations, map viewing, favorites, reviews, check-ins, and trip planning. The admin dashboard supports the management of places, images, services, users, reviews, and data crawling. The system helps users discover suitable places more easily while enabling administrators to manage travel data effectively. Trong những năm gần đây, nhu cầu du lịch tự túc ngày càng tăng, đặc biệt là nhu cầu tìm kiếm địa điểm tham quan, ăn uống, vui chơi và xây dựng lịch trình phù hợp với sở thích cá nhân. Tuy nhiên, người dùng thường gặp khó khăn khi phải tìm kiếm thông tin từ nhiều nguồn khác nhau, so sánh địa điểm, đánh giá mức độ phù hợp và tự sắp xếp lịch trình theo thời gian, ngân sách và vị trí. Bên cạnh đó, việc quản lý dữ liệu địa điểm cũng đòi hỏi hệ thống có khả năng thu thập, cập nhật và phân loại thông tin một cách thuận tiện. Mục tiêu của đề tài là xây dựng và phát triển một ứng dụng di động hỗ trợ du lịch, cho phép người dùng tìm kiếm địa điểm, xem thông tin chi tiết, đánh giá, lưu địa điểm yêu thích, check-in địa điểm đã đến, xem bản đồ và tạo lịch trình du lịch cá nhân hóa. Ngoài ra, hệ thống còn cung cấp trang quản trị giúp quản lý địa điểm, danh mục, dịch vụ, người dùng, đánh giá và hỗ trợ cào dữ liệu địa điểm từ website. Hệ thống được xây dựng với ứng dụng di động sử dụng React Native và Expo, trang quản trị sử dụng React/Vite, backend sử dụng FastAPI và cơ sở dữ liệu MySQL. Hệ thống gợi ý địa điểm được xây dựng theo hướng kết hợp thông tin hồ sơ người dùng, sở thích, vị trí hiện tại, hành vi tương tác và dữ liệu đánh giá. Chức năng lập lịch trình sử dụng dữ liệu địa điểm, ngân sách, số ngày, số người và khung thời gian trong ngày để tạo lịch trình phù hợp. Ngoài ra, hệ thống tích hợp AI để hỗ trợ tạo phần mô tả lịch trình tự nhiên và hỗ trợ quá trình làm giàu dữ liệu trong pipeline cào dữ liệu. Kết quả của đề tài là xây dựng thành công hệ thống hỗ trợ du lịch gồm ứng dụng di động cho người dùng và trang quản trị cho quản trị viên. Ứng dụng di động hỗ trợ các chức năng chính như đăng nhập, đăng ký, tìm kiếm địa điểm, gợi ý địa điểm cá nhân hóa, xem bản đồ, yêu thích, đánh giá, check-in và tạo lịch trình du lịch. Trang quản trị hỗ trợ quản lý dữ liệu địa điểm, hình ảnh, dịch vụ, người dùng, đánh giá và cào dữ liệu. Hệ thống giúp người dùng dễ dàng khám phá địa điểm phù hợp hơn, đồng thời hỗ trợ quản trị viên quản lý dữ liệu du lịch một cách hiệu quả.
