Abstract: Bối cảnh: Ngành du lịch ẩm thực và thương mại điện tử phát triển song hành làm gia tăng nhu cầu tìm hiểu, mua sắm đặc sản vùng miền và trải nghiệm văn hóa bản địa, đặc biệt tại khu vực Nam Bộ với sự đa dạng về đặc sản và làng nghề truyền thống. Context: Amid the parallel growth of culinary tourism and e-commerce, consumer demand for exploring and purchasing regional specialty products alongside authentic local cultural experiences is steadily increasing, particularly in Southern Vietnam, known for its diverse specialties and traditional craft villages. However, most current e-commerce platforms focus solely on product sales without linking cultural stories and local origins to real on-site experiences, and generally lack personalized recommendation mechanisms tailored to individual user preferences. This gap led to the proposal of the project "Building a local culinary tourism web application with AIpowered personalization integration," aiming to connect users with specialty producers and authentic cultural experiences across Southern Vietnam. Objective: The goal is to build a web platform that allows users to search for and purchase local specialty products, book cultural experiences at local establishments, and receive intelligent recommendations based on personal behavior and preferences. The application also supports establishment owners in managing products, orders, bookings, and promotional campaigns, while enabling administrators to oversee the entire system, users, and revenue reports. Methodology: The user interface was built using plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to ensure fast page loading and broad device compatibility. The server side uses Java Spring Boot combined with Spring Security and JWT for authentication, supporting role-based access control across three user roles — customer, establishment owner, and administrator — along with Google OAuth2 for quick sign-in. Data is stored in PostgreSQL, while product and establishment images are managed via Cloudinary. The personalized recommendation engine is built on the TF-IDF algorithm combined with user behavior analysis to suggest relevant products and experiences. Online payment is integrated through the MoMo payment gateway, alongside automated confirmation emails and PDF/Excel report export functionality. Results: The completed application provides full functionality including registration, login, product and experience search and filtering by province, shopping cart, experience booking by date, time, and number of guests, online payment, product reviews, wishlist, coupon application, and notifications. The personalized recommendation system operates effectively, suggesting products and establishments aligned with each user's preferences. The administrative interface enables establishment owners and administrators to manage products, orders, bookings, coupons, and view visualized revenue statistics. Conclusion: The local culinary tourism web application with integrated AI personalization successfully achieved its stated objectives, forming a bridge between consumers and local specialty producers and cultural experiences across Southern Vietnam. Beyond supporting purchasing and booking activities, the system contributes to promoting and preserving regional cultural values, while opening potential for future growth and business expansion for local establishments.
