dc.description.abstract"This study investigates EFL learners’ perceptions of using YouTube as a tool to enhance English listening and speaking skills in the context of higher education in Vietnam. Although YouTube has become a widely used digital platform for informal language learning, limited empirical research has examined how students in regional universities, particularly in the Mekong Delta, evaluate its usefulness, usability, authenticity, and influence on learning motivation. To address this gap, the present study adopted a primarily quantitative design supplemented by two open-ended response questions. Quantitative data were collected through a structured questionnaire, while qualitative data were obtained from the two open-ended items. A total of 90 English Studies (HighQuality Program) students at Can Tho University participated in the study. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were examined through thematic analysis. The findings reveal that students hold highly positive perceptions of YouTube as a supportive tool for developing listening and speaking skills. Learners reported strong agreement regarding YouTube’s usefulness, ease of use, and authenticity of content. Additionally, YouTube significantly increased learners’ motivation and engagement. In general, the study demonstrates that YouTube plays a valuable role in supporting autonomous and interest-driven learning, making it an effective digital tool for enhancing listening and speaking proficiency among EFL learners."vi_VN
