Abstract: Thăng Long-Hanoi has been the Capital City of a country with a feudal govemment since early times. The feudal State completely controlled the social and economic activities of the City through ideology, legislation, taxation, labor and military Service, and especially through the teudally dependent relationship of the people on their king, the imperial court, and local authorities.
