Abstract: Having been introduced into Vietnam, Buddhism was Vietnamized gradually and held a strong vitality in the people's spiritual and cultural life. It integrated smoothly with the Vietnamese folk beliefs and culture in all aspects such as festivals, cults of worship, traditions, and customs. From the approach to Vietnamized Buddhism, this paper examines the synthesis of it and folk beliefs at the Hương Sơn relic complex (in Hanoi) and the preservation and promotion of cultural values.
