In vitro cytotoxicity of a series of cis-platinum(ll) complexes bearing piperidine

Abstract

In vitro cytotoxicity of a series of complexes cis-[PtCl₂(piperidine)(L)] complexes (L: another amine or olefin) and cisplatin against four human cancer cell lines Hep-G₂, RD, MCF7 and F1 has been evaluated. The results show that most of these complexes exhibit inhibiting abilities on 1-3 tested cancer cell lines (Hep-G₂, RD, Fl) with IC₅₀ values ranged from 1.70 to 9.41 µg/mL, which are lower than that of the referenced cisplatin.
