Using combined chromatographic methods, two flavonol glycosides and one dammarane-type saponin were isolated from the methanol extract of the leaves of Gouania leptostachya. Their structures were elucidated to be quercetin 3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (1), quercetin 3-O-6-E-p-coumaroyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (2) and joazeiroside A (3) by 1D-, 2D-NMR, and MS spectra and in comparison with those reported in the literature. These compounds have been reported from the Gouania genus for the first time.vi_VN
