Platinum nanoflowers modified glassy carbon electrode (PtNFs/GCE) was developed for simultaneous determination of lead and cadmium at trace level in 0.1 M acetate buffer (pH 4.5) using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). Intluence factors as preconcentration time and potential, pulse amplitude and step potential, electrode cleaning procedure and interferences on the stripping peak current of lead and cadmium were investigated. Under optimal conditions, the method showed high reproducibility of the stripping peak current with RSD < 5 % (n=5) for the two heavy metal ions. The linear ranges are from 1 to 100 µg.L⁻¹ for a preconcentration time of 120 s. The limit of detection using the optimized analytical procedure was observed as 0.408 µg.L⁻¹ and 0.453 µg.L⁻¹ for lead and cadmium ions, respectively. Application of the product to the in some river water, lake water, and wastewater samples in Binh Dinh, Viet Nam gave good results agreement with data obtained by a graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrornetry (GFAAS) method.vi_VN
