A study on fish species composition of trawl-net and growth biology of fourfinger threadfin fish (Eleutheronema tetradactylum) was done from January to July in 2019 at Tran De estuary, Soc Trang province. The fish composition and Fourfinger threadfin fish samples were collected a monthly at three locations (Bay Gia, Cu Lao Dung and My Thanh). The survey result showed that there were 36 fish species belong to 7 orders and 15 families. In typically, the Perciformes order is the most abundant with 19 species which takes 52.78%, the next are the Clupeiformes and Pleuronectiformes, each of order has 5 fish species and the similar percentage is 13.89%. The Siluriformes makes up 11.11% with 4 species, the left orders like Synodontiformes, Mugiliformes and Anguilliformes have 2.78% with 1 species. Nonlinear regression method determined closed relationship between length (L) and weight (W) of fourfinger threadfin fish through the equation of the correlation length (L) and weight some species have economic value: fourfinger threadfin fish which is W= 0.008x3.0136 (R² = 0.9572). The growth parameters were determined by the PROJMAT method that is apply for Non seasonal growth curves. Maximum asymptotic length L∞= 30.00 cm, growth coefficency K= 0.61/year and t0= -0.83. In gereral, fishes composition at Tran De estuary is relatively diverse, growth biology charateristics of fish have relative closely and they develop natuarally. There need more study about fishes species composition by using others fishing gears such as bag-net, push-net and trap net. Besides, study more growth biology of Fourfinger threadfin fish in long time to have information that supply for management and protection.vi_VN
