Government Innovation for Building Smart City in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest City of Vietnam. This City has set the goal of building the City becoming a smart City on the Project of “Building Ho Chi Minh City becoming a smart City in the period of 2017-2020 and a Vision to 2025”. For building the smart City in Ho Chi Minh City, it is necessary to implement synchronously and effectively many Solutions. On the author’s view, one of the groups of Solutions that the City's authorities should pay special attention is building smart authorities, having the capable of managing and operating the smart society. This paper recommends the Solutions for innovating the governance of the City authorities in the process of building the smart City in Ho Chi Minh City.
