Characterlzation of mastoparan peptide from the venom of the wasp vespa velutina collected in Vietnam

Abstract

Mastoparan is one of the peptides from the venoin of social wasps that has attracted considerable attention for its biological activity such as antibacterial, hemolytic and cancer-destroying activitics. In this study, we have characterized Mastoparan from the venoms of the wasp Vespa velutina as an antibiotic agent. The wasps Vespa velutina were collecled in Vietnam. Masioparans extracted from the venoms were purified by RP-HPLC and idenlified by MALDI-TOF/MS.
