Abstract: | The global agriculture has been greatly affected by drought and salinity which reduce crop growth and yield. Plants are known to be able to tolerate with adverse environmental conditions by using their defence systems. Genetic make-up and the expression of stress-related genes influence the plant tolerance to unfavorable situations. Previous studies have shown that a number of NAC (NAM, ATAF1/2, CUC2) transcription factors are related to drought and salinity resistance. |
