This article established a GC-MS profile for ethylacetatc extracl of herbal plant Stixis suaveolens (Roxb.) Pierre (Capparaceae). The plant was extracted with ethanol then partitioned by ethyl acetate. The ethyl acetate extract was analyzed using comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupling with a time-of-flight mass spectrometer (GCxGC/TOF-MS). Most of high intensity compounds in ethyl acetate extract were identified. 48 compounds out of 106 peaks were detected including fatty acids, esters, aldehydes. ketones, alcohols, heterocyclic compounds, etc. Many of them show biological activities in diseases treatment. This result facilitates further studies about herbal plants and development of medicine formulation based on traditional medicine in Vietnam.vi_VN
