dc.description.abstract | The effect of the replacement of Portland cement by ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBFS) on the performance of fme-grained concrete (FGC) was evaluated in this study. A densified mixture design algorithm (DMDA) was used to design the FGC mixture proportions, in which GGBFS was used to partially replace cement bv 0 - 50% (with an interval of 10%). The performance of the FGC was evaluated in both fresh and hardened stages. Test results show that the FGC exhibited good workability with slump values in the ranges of 25 - 27 cm. In addition, the replacement of cement by GGBFS slightly affected the unit weight of the fresh FGC mixtures and provided a positive effect in significantly reducing the drying shrinkage of the concrete. | vi_VN |
