dc.description.abstract | Vietnam is located in the Center of South-East Asia with total land area of 329,560 km²; a coast line of 3.260 km and mainland border of 3,730 km. Marine pollution by plastics has become an enormous environmental problem and is currently One of the key issues in Vietnam. According to the State Environment Report by monre, every year, Vietnamese people are estimated to use and dispose more than 30 billion plastic bags. In urban areas, the amount of plastic bags disposed is about 10.48 to 52.4 tons per day of which only 17% of plastic bags is reused, the rest is disposed after one use. | vi_VN |
