Abstract: Analysis of the torsional vibration of a large-sized generator rotor Systems is important to find the free-vibration frequency domain. Thereby avoiding the System operates in the resonant region. This paper analyzes the dynamics of a 1000MW generator rotor using the finite element method (FEM).
