The virtual assistant is boon for everyone in this new era of the 21st century. It has paved the way for a new technology where we can ask questions to machines and can interact with IVAs as people do with humans. This new technology attracted almost the whole world in many ways like smartphones, laptops, computers, etc. Some of the significant VPAs are Siri, Google Assistant, Cortana, and Alexa. Speech recognition, contextual understanding, and human interaction are the issues that are not solved yet in these IVAs. That is the reason why we will present the research and build a voice-based Smart Assistant (SA), which can understand and communicate in Vietnamese. The SA uses the speech-to-text and text-to-speech engine third-party in Python’s library. VPA can assist users with daily tasks such as search information from Wikipedia, search by Google engine, watch videos on YouTube, open the website, weather forecast, read the news, count and send emails, take and count notes/notebooks, notify date and time, control the computer, change screen Brightness. The modules are activated base on keywords from the user’s voice by using Natural Language Processing and they work independently of each other.vi_VN
