Effects of feeding frequency on growth and feed utilization of striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus)

Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the optimal feeding frequency for striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) culture to improve growth and feed utilization. The average 30 g/fingerling of experiment was randomly selected and cultured in hapas setting in an earthen pond for 210 days. There are three treatments in this experiment being T1 feeding once a day at 4 pm; treatment 2 feeding twice a day at 8 am and 4 pm; and T3 feeding thrice a day at 8 am, 12 pm and 4 pm. The results of the experiment showed that the survival rate (SR) between the treatments was not significantly different (p>0.05).
