Determinants of households expenditure in Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province, Vietnam

Abstract

This paper investigates the determinants of households’ expenditure in Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province. Data collected through interviewing 200 households at random and the method of multivariate regression analysis, results indicate that there are 4 positive impact factor and mean to household spending including education level, family size, household income, and the scale of assets whose value is greater than 10 million. The research results were also confirmed for the previous studies and proposed a number of solutions for both the researcher and the policy makers doing the necessary policies needed to consider related to spending of the households in Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province in particular and in the Mekong Delta in general
