Abstract

From the arial parts ofHuperzia phlegmaria (L.) Rothm., three compounds (1-3) were isolated by chromatographic methods and identified as 5-Hydroxymethyl-2-furaldehyde (1), rehmanone C (2) and loliolide (3). Their structures were elucidated by 1D, 2D-NMR in reference to the literature. This is the first report on the isolation o f these compounds from the genus Huperzia Bernh..
