Abstract

An HPLC method for simultaneous determination of serum fenofibrate (FB) and fenofibric acid (FA) as their serum active metabolites with sodium diclofenac as internal standard was developed: Column - Shim-pack GIST C18 (150x 4.60 mm; 5 pm): Mobile phase - mixture of MeOH and phosphate buffer pH 3.0; detector UV: 286 nm. The LODs were 0.2 pg/mL plasma for both FB and FA. Validated according to the guidelines for validation of bioanalytical methods of FDA and EMA. These all proved the proposed method reliable and practicable.
