Xây dựng và thẩm định quy trình định lượng đồng thời epimedin C và icariin trong cao dâm dương hoắc

Abstract

As Epimedin C and icariin are taken as official biomarkers forEpimedium sp. by the 5th Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia, an HPLC procedure was developed for their simultaneous determination in the plant extracts of Epimedium sp. The procedure was optimized as: Column - Thermo Hypersil Gold RP18 (15x4 mm; 3 µm), column temperature -30°C; Detector - UV (270 nm); Mobile phase - acetonitrile-water 23:77 (v/v); Flow rate - 1.0 ml/min. By validation, the proposed method proved quite adequate compatibiiity, satisfactory specificity and desirable linearity (with R² = 0.9999 and 0.9995 for epimedin C icariin, respectively). In the RSD values (%), inter-day precisions of epimedin C and icariin were 1.363% and 1.636%, respectively. The recovery percentages were 98,74 - 100.72% for C epimedin and 98.49 - 101.60% for icariin. In short, the proposed HPLC method met the validation requirements, proved practical aplicability to establishment of the quality standards, quality control categoría of EE and related products.
