Abstract

For the reason the medicinal material of Lignum Dracaenae is precious in both Chinese and Vietnamese folk and traditional medicines, but just officinalized in the Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia only, while in China, it is not pharmacopoeially officinal but comes to popular practical use with the Chinese State Medicinal Permission Code Z53021666. The quantitative characterization of Lignum Dracaenae and Extractum Dracaenae siccus was standardized for the Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia 5th Edition by reference to the Chinses Permission Code Z53021666 and by means of actual experiments, as well.
