Abstract: Pterocarpin and 5-hydroxy-7-methoxyflavone were isolated from the ethylacetate extracts of the fungal fruiting bodies of Phellinus igniarius (Dc. ex Fr.) Quel. The isolated compounds were characterized by chromatography, structurally confirmed by MS,¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR, DEPT, COSY, HSQC and HMBC. These compounds were both isolated from this fungus for the first time.
