| dc.description.abstract | For identification, authentication and quality control ofBa kich Morinda officinalis (How.), a herbal item of common use in Chinese (named Baji tian) and Vietnamese Traditional Medicine (CTM and VTM), DNA barcoding was used along with the conventional morphological analysis. 5 recommended barcoding markers including ITS, ITS2, rbcL, matK, trnH-psbA were tested on 6 samples for their discriminative ability. Of these six tested samples, four were Morinda officinalis (How.) belonging to the genus Polygala, exclusive of the rest two. ITS/ITS2 and matK regions proved as good candidates for DNA barcoding identification of Morinda officinalis (How). The rbcL and trnH-psbA seemed suitable for genetic diversity analysis and strain geographic distinction. | vi_VN |
