Abstract: President Ho Chi Minh is a great model of self-learning efforts. Ho Chi Minh ideology helps students acquire the pedagogical legacy of the President and brings about the opportunity for students to forge their self-learning competence It is very important and practical to develop the competence and virtue for pedagogic students by improving qualities and skills of Ho Chi Minh ideology subject self-studying in learning activities of students in Hanoi National University of Education. This paper presents a study of student’s conditions and an initial proposal with some solutions to improve the quality of self-learning Ho Chi Minh ideology subject for students in Hanoi National University of Education.
